Finding ourselves facing end of life scenarios is often to find ourselves in the midst of chaos and confusion.
Knowing what to do next is often unclear. Knowing the right questions may be elusive.

Family dynamics can become activated and difficult to navigate.
Confusion arises about what course of action to take.
One can become stunned by the realization that few plans have been put in place for this profound passage of life, without a map or language to find one's way through.

This is the territory that I find calm and clarity in. Where each moment is precious.

About Deirdre:
My name is Deirdre Jenkins, and I am a Certified Conscious Dying Coach, Sacred Passage Death Doula,
End of Life Doula Specialist, Grief Companion,
Designer of Rituals and Ceremonies and Doula Trainer working in Western Wisconsin's Chippewa Valley, in person, and online.
Much of my life has been at the edge of the village, learning the ways of nature: the rhythm and wisdom of the heart, deep listening, befriending the More that Human World.

These skills and gifts are what I freely bring to those I work with. They combine well with the practical matters of end of life plans and its complex journey.
​
This work first came to me over forty years ago, at age seventeen as a nurse's assistant on the night shift. A elderly woman named Zenith was fearful, with no family at her side. I held her hand through the night doing what I could to comfort her.
​
The most important story for me was caring for my mother in the last 6 weeks of her life, and what would become a poetic, brave and peaceful transition to the place of Ancestors with a heart full of love.
